Cruisin' Part 2

I was finally able to get my pictures from my camera onto my computer for the rest of my cruise pics.  I'm totally the, "I have an IPhone, why do I need a camera?" person.  I should mention the Disney Cruise all started because my aunt has a travel agency where she specializes in Disney vacations.  Let her help you make your next vacation magical! Check out her website here!

We spent an evening at Disney celebrating May & summer birthdays

The Birthday Crew

Boat ride to watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom.

Sail away party with all the characters

Dinner time! :)

My mouth waters just thinking about these meals.

Ignore the handkerchief headband, it was pirate night.

My aunt and I's favorite evening activity.  Pink was the cutest champagne bar!

All in all...a fabulous trip!! I'm sure you all are sick of hearing me talk about good ol' summer time, but in case you forgot, I'm enjoying time off and a regular at Sonic for their peanut butter fudge shakes after 8.  Seriously, go get one. And then somebody try the peanut butter bacon & let me know.  I'm too scared to get it.

Cruisin' Time

So...blogging has fallen to the bottom of the list of things to do lately, but you shall wait no more!  I had high hopes of creating a clever, witty cruise post where I'd tell you how fabulously clear the water was or how soft the sand was between my toes.  Or how I spent an entire afternoon in a hammock on the beach with a good book or how I ate...and ate...and ate magnificent food.  All of the above is true and so much more; it was an amazing trip and made for a perfect birthday celebration.  Disney cruise all the way.  I'm serious.  Disney just does everything so well.  And they have plenty of kid areas and adult only areas that I never once was annoyed or felt like I wanted to jump overboard.

We docked in Nassau and my grandparents and I toured Atlantis.  We were super pumped for this, only to leave saying we shouldn't have gotten off the boat.  It was a two hour guided walking tour in the hot sun...not our thing.  Disney cruise ship...our thing.  Papa and I wanted to ditch the tour and roam ourselves, but Grandmama was too much of a rule follower.

The next day we docked at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.  This place had it all.  I said 'yes please' to Serenity beach for those 18 years and older and didn't regret it for a second.

Here are a few pics from my phone.  The majority of my pics are on my camera (which I haven't used in so long, I can't find the cord to upload them, so unfortunately those may never be seen).

Today was my last day with students and summer has officially begun.  (Which also means half price Sonic shakes after 8...I've already taken advantage of this more than once.)  I've got some pretty big changes and new journeys ahead that I'll blog about in the coming future.  Stay tuned.

Birthday Month!

May is a big birthday month for the Sauder family (and everyone else it seems).  I feel like all 135 of my students have celebrated a birthday in the last 3 weeks. Speaking of students....3.5 days till summer time. :)

Back to birthdays--We celebrated some big ones a few weeks ago.  Cadertot turned 3, I turned  26, and Grandma Sauder turned 93 all within about a week of each other.

I bet you can't guess who had the Spiderman party out of the three of us??

It was so fun to see a mass of kids all under the age of 6 in a bounce house and running around Cade's house for his big celebration.  Complete with fruit snacks and juice boxes.

Grandma Sauder and I are 1 day (and 67 years) apart.  It's always fun to get to celebrate with her.  I probably celebrated what might be my most memorable birthday ever on a beach in the Bahamas.  (A blog post with the details to come).

Grandma Sauder got to make the trip to KC for all the celebrating and she and Reesie had some bonding time.

Isn't Reese just the cutest thing ever?!

Next time you hear from me I just might be writing in my pj's in the middle of the day, just because I can.  Sweet summer time.  Look forward to all things cruise related.
