Well, it happened. Summer up and left us and has been replaced by Mr. Responsibility. He and I are not near as close. Today was the first day for my little sixth graders. I was much more mentally prepared for their millions of questions, faces of pure panic, and the feeling of holding my pee all day because anytime I stepped out my door I was faced with a lost child. Last year was such a shocker going from teaching seventh to sixth grade. Oh sixth graders. I still vividly remember my first day of middle school and the anxiety I felt as
Jana dropped me off in the parking lot on her way to high school. I'd like to think she was super sympathetic and comforting, but I remember otherwise. :) I also remember her threatening to leave me if I wasn't outside sooner after school when she got there to pick me up. We've come a long way.
Anyway, all this to say I'm sure there's something school related I should be working on right now. Pouring over my lesson plans one last time, editing the graphics or fonts on my power point, or browsing Pinterest for the latest and greatest in all things classroom related.
